Fashion Illustration for Teens and Tweens (B) - 8 week Virtual Course
In this fun 8 week virtual program for teens (age 8 - 18), you'll have a blast learning to draw fashion poses and design outfits and accessories on paper. We will learn new techniques and do projects different from Level A, but at the same time, this course is suitable for beginners as well as intermediate artists. Students will learn lots of new drawing techniques and work on designing a cohesive collection over the 8 weeks.
This course is live instruction on zoom. There will be recordings available if you miss the session.
When: Starts Thursday March 23, 4:15 pm to 5:45 pm ET, (full list of dates below)
Price: $275 + HST = $310.75 for one person
$495 + HST = $559.35 for two people
Dates are March 23, 30, April 20, 27, May 4, 11, 18, 25.
You will need to have some basic supplies that you may already have - card stock paper, pencils, pencil crayons etc. If you need to buy them, you can probably get them locally for under $50. You'll get a supply list when you register.
Art techniques we will cover include
- figure drawing (hands, feet, etc.)
- using a croquis
- faces (profile, different angles)
- hairstyles
- jewellery and accessory design
- adding shading to create dimension
- creating textures
- drawing the folds and dimensionality of clothing
- stylized drawings
- colour palettes
- designing a collection
- and more!
Using fashion illustration as a starting point, you will learn drawing techniques that will improve your art skills for any style of art. You'll be amazed at how much you grow as an artist in this course!
